A luxurious lunch of cold noodles and grilled meat at Pyeon Pyeon Sa, located in a prime spot in Ginza! The view from our semi-private room was breathtaking. The meat melted in my mouth, and the salad was far from basic, with flavors that really penetrated. Their cold noodles are popular and are occasionally sold at Ikarisuper. I was disappointed when the Sendai Station branch closed, but I'm likely to become a regular at this location after discovering it. The service was also excellent. It's a popular restaurant, so reservations are recommended!
I went to this restaurant with a few friends on a weekday after 11 am, having made a reservation. I had heard so much about their cold noodles and wanted to try them. The restaurant has a lot of seats and they are spaced out well, but when you get off the elevator, there's usually a waiting line, so reservations are definitely recommended. They have a wide variety of cold noodles, and even if you don't like spicy food, they have options with separate spicy sauces. The broth and noodles were both delicious, and I couldn't stop eating. I didn't realize they had a large size option, so I'll definitely order that next time. I'll be back again soon. **October 24th Update:** I went back with my friends after the weather cooled down. It was lunchtime, but it was still very relaxed and easy to enjoy. I ordered the same course as last time, but it wasn't enough, so this time I got the large size cold noodles. It was a lot more than I expected, so if you're not a big eater, you might want to just order a side dish instead of the large size noodles.
The Morioka Reimen (cold noodles) here are truly delicious. They also offer various sets with the noodles, such as grilled meat and mini stone-pot bibimbap, and the prices are reasonable, under 2000 yen. The restaurant is spacious with ample seating and is accessible by elevator, so I saw customers with strollers. I went during lunchtime on a weekday, and there were 4-5 groups waiting in front, but because there are many seats, I didn't have to wait too long. Highly recommended.
“So good!!! It’s amazing!” // Well, the restaurant’s name is UNA, but lol It was soooo delicious!!! I’ve been wanting to go, wanting to go for eight years now. Lol The eighth time’s the charm came suddenly this morning. Yesterday I went for yakiniku, you know. I didn’t order cold noodles for the final course. That was a really good decision, but still… I wanted cold noodles… lol I couldn’t make a reservation on the day, so I went at opening time! ○ What I ate ○ ⚪︎ Morioka Cold Noodle Lunch Set ・ Mini Bulgogi Don Set ¥1450 + tax Cold noodles, mini salad, mini bulgogi don set You can choose the spiciness level: medium, extra spicy, or super spicy, but I chose to have it on the side☝︎*˖ I wanted to try the default soup first, and I figured “super spicy” wouldn’t be that spicy anyway… So I had it on the side and planned to change the flavor all at once later on◡̈⃝♡ What…?! The soup is soooo good!! It’s rich and flavorful, so good! The cold noodles are also chewy and springy, so good! It’s seriously amazing! If it was this good, I should have come sooner!!! I immediately downloaded the points card app. Lol There was no signal, and I kept failing to register as a member, so frustrating! Lol There’s a Wi-Fi guide, but it didn’t work, so frustrating! Lol I asked the lady for the password to another Wi-Fi and finally registered successfully. When I registered my favorite store, I got a ¥500 coupon right away, lucky me! And then I learned the store’s name is UNA. Lol I’ve been remembering it wrong all this time. And UNA means “universe” in Japanese… The bulgogi don was honestly just okay, so I wouldn’t pay an extra ¥350 for it… I thought maybe just the cold noodles for ¥1100 would be good. It was pretty sweet, so I mixed in some kimchi towards the end, and it was perfect with the spicy soup. I was going to sweat a lot anyway, so I finished the soup♡ It was delicious!!! ___Mayuyu’s Notes___________________φ(・_・ Weekdays, open at 11:00. 10:55 elevator, 3 groups. You can get in without waiting if you arrive before opening time without a reservation. It’s about 1 hour until everyone in your party can be seated. You’ll be shown to your seat, but orders are taken starting at 11:00. 11:10 salad arrives 11:15 bulgogi don arrives 11:20 cold noodles arrive Even if you order almost right away, it takes 20 minutes, so it might be tough if you’re in a hurry (not suitable for lunch for salarymen with short lunch breaks) Signal is pretty weak There’s Wi-Fi Points card is through the official app and the Mitsui Shopping Park app. It’s spacious and the hospitality is polite, so It’s perfect for lunch when you have time◎ The view is nice too◡̈⃝! Next time I want to try the Bibimyeon Set for the same price, ¥1450. It comes with mini soup, mini pajeon, and dessert. The set contents seem more amazing on this one!
This is a Morioka cold noodle restaurant located on the 11th floor of Ginza Grasse in Ginza. I tried to go for dinner before, but it was full and there was a long wait, so I gave up. I went for lunch later. It's a popular restaurant, so even when I went around 11:40 for an early lunch, there were already quite a few people there. Around 12:30, when I was leaving, it was full and people were waiting to be seated at the entrance. It seems like there's a reception machine for those waiting, so you can get a ticket there. The interior has tables and counter seats. The counter seats have large windows, so they are bright and well-lit. I went for lunch alone, but the counter seats can accommodate two people. There were several set menus for lunch, but this time I ordered the set with beef tongue and kalbi, which came with cold noodles. It also comes with vegetable appetizers. There are three pieces of meat each. It's not enough to eat a lot of meat, but the cold noodles that come after are quite filling, so it's just right. Cold noodles are always good in the hot summer. The spiciness is served separately in a small bowl, so even if you don't like spicy food, you can add it to your liking. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the service of the staff were good, and I would like to visit again. One point, this is not a drawback of the restaurant, but a drawback of the building. There are quite a few floors and businesses in the building, but there are only two small elevators, and they are quite old, so the opening and closing buttons are a bit broken. Also, there is no air conditioning, so it's very hot. I think the owner or the management company should look into this.
