September 2024, Dinner Visit Generally, this restaurant is one of the few that are open near Harajuku Station, so I've been there a few times. However, the food takes a really long time to come out! I always wonder what they're doing because it takes so long. It's fine if you're chatting, but I wouldn't recommend going if you're in a hurry. I thought it would be freshly made, but it wasn't piping hot... I'm a little confused. Haha. The omelet rice and other dishes are delicious, but it would be even better if they were served piping hot and within a reasonable time. It's a shame. I probably won't order the cheese galette again, the omelet rice is definitely the best! I think a lot of foreign tourists visit, so I hope they can make it an even better 'Au Bacchanal'. Omelet rice is a dish that's not very common overseas, so I want more people to try it!
My mother wanted to go, so I lined up before the Saturday opening. The first photo that came up on Google Maps was of an omelet, so I ordered the omelet and my mother ordered the steak. The taste was not as good as I expected, so it wasn't delicious or bad, it just lacked flavor. However, it was very hot that day, so I wondered if I personally couldn't taste anything. I had my mother try a bite, and she said it didn't have much flavor either. The appearance was very good, but the taste was disappointing. The seat we were assigned was very good. One more thing I would like to say is that I was a little concerned about the attitude of the staff (were they part-timers?). They seemed unmotivated, or maybe lacking in energy. I was disappointed because I went there looking forward to it, but I was treated with such an attitude. I was disappointed because the reviews were good. 😢
The Omar Bisque Souffle Plate I underestimated the kids' area, but it was high-level and satisfying. The shop's concept is a European hotel cafe. So, you take a key to the cashier for checkout. The interior and furniture are elaborate and beautiful. If the season is right, it would be nice to sit on the balcony and watch the trains and people passing by. I like the interior, so I prefer to stay inside. There are similar areas in other places, so I'll try to find them and go.
【Aubecq Harajuku】 A convenient cafe with several locations in Tokyo. I visited the Harajuku branch of Aubecq, located above the Harajuku IKEA. I went there for dessert after a late lunch ✨ I was torn between choosing two desserts or one dessert and a savory option like a galette or french fries, but ultimately decided on two desserts! • Crêpe Suzette ¥1,000 • Strawberry Mille-feuille ¥650 • Sparkling Lemonade ¥700 • Iced Cafe au Lait ¥700 The Crêpe Suzette was a chewy crepe soaked in orange juice, making it juicy and flavorful ♡ It wasn't too sweet, which was nice ❤️ The Strawberry Mille-feuille had a different strawberry cross-section than the promotional photo, which was funny 😂 The taste was also underwhelming, with the custard cream being mediocre. The interior has a retro-classic atmosphere, with a charming key as a payment indicator. I think it's a popular spot among women, and its location in front of Harajuku Station is convenient! The quality of the dishes can vary significantly depending on what you order. I wonder if their famous soufflé omelet is good. I'll have to try it next time!
I had the opportunity to visit Harajuku after many years, and I wanted to eat somewhere not too far from the station, so I came here. It was already past 4 pm, so I couldn't order from the lunch menu, but I had the omelet rice for ¥1300. I was surprised that it was about the same price as the omelet rice at a cafe in Hanno! It was a fluffy soufflé omelet rice, and the eggs jiggled when I shook the plate a little. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and relaxing. It was so quiet, you wouldn't believe you were in Harajuku. It's right in front of Harajuku Station, and there are both indoor and terrace seats. I also had a salad, and the dressing was delicious. I enjoyed my time in Harajuku after a long time.
