You can also choose from various beans for the drip coffee. This time, I tried the house blend. It's served in a coffee server, enough for two cups, which feels like a good deal. It has low acidity and a mellow flavor, making it a perfect match for the ice cream shoe. My companion ordered the cream coffee, which was quite creamy and well-received. It's conveniently located directly connected to Shibuya Station, making it a great spot for meetings or rainy days. There were delicious canelé and scones lined up at the order counter, so I definitely want to visit again.

A cream puff at a cafe near Shibuya Station I visited "UPLIGHT COFFEE" which is directly connected to Shibuya Station's underground. It's a shop with an eat-in area on a spacious terrace right by the entrance to the Hanzomon Line subway. I arrived around 7:30 PM on a weekday and there was no wait. I was able to pay right away. I bought a vanilla cream puff for 390 yen. It looked more like a curry bread than a cream puff. The crispy crust and the rich, sweet custard cream were a perfect match and very delicious. I enjoyed it until the very last bite.

I had passed by several times and was curious, so I stopped by one evening when I had some time to kill before a meeting. It was evening, so there were only a few customers. There were outlets at the counter by the window, so it seemed like a good place to work. Upon researching, I learned that UPLIGHT COFFEE is an original bake brand co-developed with Chef Ishii of "Cynthia"! When I asked the staff for a recommendation, they suggested the signature cream puff, so I ordered it. The crispy cookie dough paired with a custard bursting with vanilla bean flavor! I don't think anyone could dislike this! The smooth custard is not cloying, so you can easily devour one in a single sitting! The custard is generously filled inside the dough, creating a perfect harmony of flavors! This cream puff would make a delightful gift.
