TRUFFLE & BREAD

I was intrigued by a feature on 'Ado Machi' (a popular TV show showcasing local businesses) and visited first thing in the morning. I bought a freshly baked croissant and an 'an-butter' (sweet bean paste and butter) pastry. The subtle aroma of truffle was elegant and made it perfect for a gift. The 'an-butter' was simply a taste of happiness!
The truffle flavor is definitely there! I was on my way to another bakery when I found out it was closed, so I was sulking and driving around when I spotted the name "Truffle" 🤩. The shop had a stylish storefront with a few people gathered around🤓. I was drawn in like a moth to a flame. The price per piece is a bit high, but there are some affordable options, which is helpful for first-timers 🤗. I sniffed the fragrant aroma🤤 and bought a baguette and a sugar bread to try. First, I tried the baguette. The truffle aroma and saltiness were quite delicious🥳. The bread itself was pretty ordinary, but it was satisfying and reasonably priced, and it was a unique variety, so I think it was good value for money 🤗. The sugar bread had a sweet glaze on the outside, and the inside had the truffle saltiness, so it had a strange sweet and salty flavor🤪. But... it wasn't bad at all😙. ...It's fluffy, so it disappears quickly though😬. I found a pretty exciting bakery, so next time I'll splurge and have a luxurious truffle feast🥳. I recently visited truffle&bread in Sumida-ku. The nearest station is Kiyosumi-shirakawa, but it's a bit of a walk, so I recommend using the LOOP bus. The moment I stepped inside, I was overwhelmed by the intoxicating aroma of truffles and the savory scent of freshly baked bread. It was a sensory overload! As you can see in the video, each item is beautifully displayed, without using any sample food. Just looking at the rows of exquisite bread made my mouth water. I purchased nine items this time. It would be too much to review each one individually, so I'll highlight a few. The most impressive item was the "Truffle Tama." It's the one in the middle of the photo. It's a croissant filled with truffle-infused egg salad, pancetta, and perilla leaves. It was the best egg sandwich I've ever had. I was speechless with delight. In fact, I ate one right there and then, and bought another to take home. It's an absolutely exquisite egg sandwich. It's so delicious, you have to try it. Another item that impressed me was the Croque Monsieur. The salty cheese and perfectly seasoned béchamel sauce, topped with truffles, is a dream come true for bread lovers. It's like dipping bread into a luxurious cream stew. And the truffle aroma is simply incredible. This bread is best enjoyed at home, warmed up in the oven. Baking it in the oven brings out an unbelievable flavor. The only disappointment was the Mayo Corn Bread. I personally like hard-style bread with mayo corn, but I would have preferred a softer texture. Also, the corn tends to fall out a lot, making it a bit messy to eat. Be careful when eating the corn mayo bread. It's been a long time since I've encountered a truffle bread specialty store that has impressed me so much. There are many truffle bread shops out there, but this one is by far the best. If you're a bread lover or a truffle enthusiast, you absolutely must visit. It's a bit pricey, but I guarantee you won't regret it.
It's recommended to visit early as some items may sell out later in the day. **Second Visit** Menu: Croque Monsieur Payment: PayPay accepted They warmed up the bread after purchase and sliced truffles in front of me, which was a great service. The aroma of the sliced truffles filled the air, and when I opened the bread wrapping at home, the truffle scent wafted out, stimulating my appetite. The texture was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the truffles didn't overpower the flavor, creating a perfect balance of deliciousness. The size was just right, not too big or too small, leaving me wanting just a little bit more. **First Visit** (Around August 2022) Menu: Croissant The combination of truffle and butter was perfect, creating an exquisite taste that was simply divine! It paired perfectly with coffee!
They generously sprinkle truffle on everything. It's delicious. I think the price is reasonable. Kiyosumi Shirakawa has a high level of cafes and bakeries.
